The Ywom Traditional Council of Garkawa District, Mikang Local Government Area, Plateau State, has extended a formal condolence message to Prince Cletus Ilobanafor, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of CEOAFRICA, following the death of his father, Chief Ogbuefi Clement Ilobanafor.
In a letter dated July 3, 2025, and signed by His Royal Highness, AIG Bashir E. Makama Dabup III (psc Rtd), the Mwo-Ywom of Garkawa, the Council expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the elder Ilobanafor, who died on June 22, 2025.
“On behalf of the Ywom Traditional Council and the entire Ywom Nation, I extend my deepest condolences to you and your family on the passing of your beloved patriarch,” the monarch wrote.
The Council described Chief Ogbuefi Clement Ilobanafor as “a man of great dignity, wisdom, and moral strength,” whose impact as a father, leader, and elder statesman remains “indelible” in the hearts of many.
While recognizing the grief facing the Ilobanafor family, the Council offered prayers for strength, comfort, and divine support during this difficult period.
“In this moment of deep grief, we pray that God Almighty consoles you, your immediate and extended family, and indeed the entire community. May you find strength in the values he upheld and the love he so generously gave,” the letter stated.
The Ywom Traditional Council also prayed for the repose of the late chief’s soul, committing him to the care of the divine. “May the angels of God lead him into the bosom of Abraham, where peace is eternal,” the statement read.
The Council concluded with a message of solidarity, assuring Prince Ilobanafor of the community’s support and prayers.
“May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in perfect peace. Please accept our heartfelt sympathies,” it added.
Chief Ogbuefi Clement Ilobanafor was a highly regarded elder whose influence spanned family, community development, and mentorship. His passing marks the end of an era for many who knew and respected him.
