In a landmark moment of cultural pride and national recognition, His Grace, King (Adm.) Goddy Idaminabo Idikisime-Olunwa, JP, CON, the esteemed Amanyanabo of Kala-Ogoloma Kingdom, was today honoured by the Ijaw Nation for his exemplary leadership and enduring contributions to national development.
The Ijaw National Congress (INC), the apex socio-cultural body of the Ijaw people, conferred the distinguished honour during a grand ceremony at the iconic Ijaw House in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. The event marked a historic first for the Congress, as it formally recognized 33 outstanding personalities whose service and influence have shaped the fortunes of the Ijaw ethnic nationality and Nigeria at large.
Among the honourees was former President Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, further underscoring the prestige and national significance of the celebration.
King Goddy Idikisime-Olunwa was singled out for his visionary leadership, unwavering dedication to national unity, and tireless pursuit of excellence. His contributions to Nigeria’s socio-political and economic landscape earned him the Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) in May 2023—one of the country’s highest national honours, conferred by then-President Muhammadu Buhari.
A renowned scholar and institution-builder, King Goddy is the Founder and President of the African Business School and also serves as President of the Institute of Fraud Examiners. Through these platforms, he has championed ethical leadership, professional development, and institutional integrity across Africa.
Today’s recognition by the Ijaw Nation affirms King Goddy’s status as a symbol of peace, unity, and transformative leadership, not just within the Ijaw community but across the broader Nigerian society.
