Samson Akinola bags Nelson Mandela leadership award for excellence integrity

The Chief Executive Officer of FixAll Africa, Mr. Samson Akinola, has been conferred with the prestigious Nelson Mandela Leadership Award of Excellence and Integrity by the West African Youth Council (WAYC), the youth arm of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), in recognition of his exemplary leadership and social impact across the sub-region.

The award, presented at a ceremony attended by regional youth leaders and dignitaries, celebrates individuals who embody the ideals of integrity, service, and transformational leadership—qualities long associated with the late South African icon, Nelson Mandela.

Mr. Akinola, through his digital innovation FixAll Africa, has made significant strides in bridging service gaps by connecting Nigerians to a network of pre-verified artisans including plumbers, electricians, tailors, and mechanics. The platform has grown rapidly in popularity for its transparency, security, and efficient delivery, supporting thousands of service providers and empowering users across West Africa.

Speaking at the event, officials of the West African Youth Council described Akinola as a beacon of hope and progress. “He is living out the values of Nelson Mandela: integrity, service, and excellence,” a representative of the Council noted, highlighting Akinola’s efforts in youth empowerment and the promotion of dignified employment opportunities.

In his remarks, Akinola dedicated the award to all young Africans committed to creating impact through innovation and service. “Receiving this honour inspires us to deepen our mission to build solutions that uplift communities, foster trust, and drive social change,” he said.

With this recognition, Akinola joins an elite circle of African entrepreneurs, changemakers, and advocates previously honoured by the WAYC for their contribution to the continent’s development and the upliftment of its youth.
