A Nollywood film produced by Rixel Studios, Red Circle explores themes of crime, corruption, and power in contemporary Lagos, with a focus on investigative journalism. The film premiered at a Lagos cinema, where Knorr Nigeria’s leading seasoning brand brought its signature presence and delicious jollof rice to the red carpet.
Set for a global release on June 6, 2025, the film follows Fikayo Holloway, a journalist portrayed by Folu Storms, as she uncovers a dangerous network of secrets and corruption after the suspicious death of her friend.
The Red Circle Nollywood premiere took place on May 31, 2025, in Lagos. As a major event sponsor, Knorr played a key role in elevating the evening, transforming one of the most anticipated nights on the entertainment calendar into a vibrant experience that blended food, film, and cultural connection.
Produced by Nora Awolowo and Abdul Tijani-Ahmed, and directed by Akay Mason, the premiere featured a star-studded guest list, including cast members Timini Egbuson, Tobi Bakre, Lateef Adedimeji, Omowunmi Dada, Mike Afolarin, and Debo ‘Mr Macaroni’. The Knorr experience area quickly became a crowd favorite. From savory jollof rice to an interactive content booth where guests could take photos and create videos, Knorr offered more than just food it delivered a full sensory experience. It served as a warm reminder of the brand’s longstanding presence in Nigerian kitchens and culture.
