My podcast a therapy session for people to reflect on their journey — Wasila Coded

Nollywood actress and producer Bimpe Akintunde, popularly known as Wasila Coded, is using her voice and platform to inspire healing and gratitude through her podcast, Iriri mi.

 In a recent an interview with Pot-pourri, Wasila described the show as more than just a podcast, it’s a therapeutic space for people to reflect on their journeys, celebrate their wins, and find hope in difficult times.

“Iriri Mi is like a therapy session for every individual to reflect on their journey and be grateful. If you notice, we share more of success stories. As the platform grows bigger and wider, we hope we can put smiles on people’s faces, preach positivity, and let people know that truly, there is light at the end of every tunnel,” she said.

She believes that storytelling can be a powerful tool for healing, and she’s committed to using her podcast to uplift listeners. Each episode features guests who share their personal stories, stories of triumph, resilience, and lessons learned which Wasila hopes will encourage others to reflect on their own lives and find reasons to be grateful.

“As the platform grows, I want it to be a beacon of hope.We want to put smiles on people’s faces, preach positivity, and remind everyone that there’s always light at the end of every tunnel.”

With over twenty years in the film industry, Wasila Coded has seen her share of ups and downs. She credits her longevity to a relentless focus on self-improvement and staying true to her goals.

“What has been helping me is focusing on myself and my goals. I don’t allow anything get to me because I believe in timing. When it’s your time to shine, no one can stop you. That’s exactly what I tell people who come my way and ask me for advice: don’t let the internet rush you, focus on you.”
