Over 300 residents of Malali, a suburb in Kaduna North, benefited from a free medical outreach organized by AbdulAzeez Kaka, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Stakeholders Forum in Kaduna State.
The outreach, held over the weekend, catered to people suffering from various ailments who could not afford medical bills. Beneficiaries—mostly women, children, and the elderly—received free diagnoses, medications, and treatments for conditions including malaria, hypertension, diabetes, and high blood pressure.
Professional health workers also gave brief health talks, offering guidance on healthy community practices. The exercise included mass deworming for children.
Kaka said the initiative was inspired by Governor Uba Sani’s commitment to improving healthcare for the masses. He described the outreach as a way to support the government’s efforts in revamping primary healthcare and to give back to his constituency, the people of Badarawa Malali Ward.
He acknowledged the material and moral support received from Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu.
“Looking around, you can see the enthusiasm among the people to access this free medical exercise. These are common but potentially fatal ailments if left untreated,” Kaka noted.
He highlighted that over the years, nearly 3,000 individuals have been empowered with various vocational skills through his initiatives, enabling them to become financially independent.
Kaka urged Kaduna North residents to support Governor Uba Sani, noting the “unprecedented achievements” recorded in just two years. He also encouraged Nigerians to trust in President Bola Tinubu’s reforms, expressing optimism about the ongoing reduction in the prices of essential commodities.
Beneficiaries expressed gratitude. Musa Isa, who underwent free sugar level screening, praised Kaka and called on others in positions of wealth to emulate the gesture. Suwaiba Alkali, who received diabetes treatment, said she had long battled the condition without access to care until Kaka’s intervention. Larai Yusuf, whose three children were dewormed during the program, hailed Kaka as a caring leader, urging elected representatives to follow his example.
