The Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) has announced a major change in the venue for the upcoming 3rd Combined African U18 and U20 Championships.

Initially scheduled to take place in Oran, Algeria, the prestigious athletics event will now be hosted in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria.

According to a statement from the CAA, the decision to transfer the championships from Algeria was due to “various reasons,” which were not disclosed.

However, in agreement with Nigerian authorities, Abeokuta has been selected as the new host city.
