Lokpobiri, Ekpo, others to attend maiden indigenous oil and gas investors summit in Lagos

All is set for the inaugural Indigenous Oil and Gas Investors Summit, which will take place in Lagos. The summit aims to foster strategic collaboration, bold investments, and innovation across Nigeria’s energy sector, with a special focus on empowering indigenous stakeholders.

According to the organisers, the event seeks to enable indigenous investors and operators to play a more dominant role across the oil and gas value chain. It will also aim to bridge the gap between policymakers, regulators, and investors to ensure more streamlined engagement.

Summit coordinator, Winifred Odunze of Red Carpet Protocol, explained that the event will enhance regulatory understanding and transparency by facilitating direct dialogues with key authorities.

Additionally, it will showcase indigenous success stories, innovations, and investment opportunities while aligning local initiatives with global standards to ensure Nigeria remains relevant on the global energy stage.

With the theme “Local Vision, Global Impact: The Future of Oil and Gas Investment in Nigeria,” the summit will serve as a strategic platform for stakeholders to reimagine Nigeria’s petroleum sector, with an emphasis on local leadership, ownership, and innovation. The event aims to catalyze actionable partnerships and provide a roadmap for sustainable growth within the industry.

Scheduled for July 23-24, 2025, the two-day summit will be held at Bickley Park Hotels Waterfront, Lekki-Lagos. It will address the evolution of the global energy industry, highlighting Nigeria’s unique challenges and enormous opportunities, including the push for energy transition, the demand for cleaner technologies, and the call for increased local content.
