A fire outbreak on Thursday afternoon caused panic at the Ifako-Ijaiye General Hospital in Lagos, affecting a section of the facility.

The fire, which reportedly started around midday, prompted immediate emergency response efforts. As of 3 p.m., the exact cause of the blaze had not yet been determined.

An eyewitness told Vanguard that relevant emergency agencies had been contacted and were on their way to the scene.
