UVA and Eedris Abdulkareem launch 30-day TikTok challenge to promote creativity for good governance

Nigerian rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem

Unchained Vibes Africa (UVA) and Nigerian music icon Eedris Abdulkareem, are set to champion a dynamic 30-day TikTok campaign to promote artistic freedom and the spirit of civic engagement through two electrifying challenges: the #TellYourPapa Open Verse Challenge and the #WuruwuruDanceChallenge.

These creative campaigns reflect on Abdulkareem’s latest work “Tell Your Papa”, a cultural anthem that amplifies citizens’ calls for accountability, unity and good governance. The initiative provides a vibrant platform for Nigerians — especially young creatives — to speak their truths, show their moves, and win big, all while promoting the values of nonviolence, respect for diversity, and civic responsibility.

A statement noted that there were two ways to join the movement:

TellYourPapa Open Verse Challenge

Have something to say? This open verse challenge invites you to add your truth in any Nigerian language— Pidgin, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, Efik, and more — over the “Tell Your Papa” beat. Submit your verse and you could win ₦500,000 and get featured alongside Eedris Abdulkareem himself!

WuruwuruDanceChallenge

Got moves that can set TikTok on fire? This is your time! Record your hottest dance routine to “Tell Your Papa”, whether solo or with your crew. Tag @eedrisabdulkareem and @UVAfrica and stand a chance to win ₦500,000 for expressing your vibe through movement.

How to Participate:

  1. Download “Tell Your Papa” or the instrumental version from @eedrisabdulkareem on YouTube.
  2. Create your dance or record your verse.
  3. Post on TikTok.
  4. Follow and TAG both @eedrisabdulkareem and @UVAfrica.
Important: Only entries that tag both accounts will be considered. All content must steer clear of incitement, hate speech, political partisanship, or personal attacks.

“This challenge is not just about entertainment,” says Segun Aribisala, the Programme Manager of Unchained Vibes Africa. “It’s about amplifying voices, inspiring change, and celebrating the unbreakable spirit of Nigerian youth.”
