
Abuja – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Chief Sir Basil Ejidike, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Anambra State, as the Chairman, Governing Board of the National Root Crops Research Institute (NRCRI), Umudike.
The appointment was conveyed in a letter dated March 28, 2025, signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF). The appointment is effective from March 26, 2025, and is described as a call to national service.
In his response, Chief Ejidike expressed deep gratitude to President Tinubu for what he described as another honor, not only to him personally but also to the APC in Anambra State.
“This appointment is a welcome addition to the growing list of presidential recognitions for Anambra State and the APC,” he said, noting that it underscores President Tinubu’s appreciation of the party’s leaders and members in the state.
Chief Ejidike further reassured the President of the continued support of the Anambra APC and the people of the state for the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Tinubu administration.
