The Oke Ode Traditional Council in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the appointment of one of the illustrious sons of the town, Engr Bashir Bayo Ojulari, as the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).
It also congratulated the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, whom it described as “Akorede” (the harbinger of fortunes), as the appointment of this great son of the state is coming during his tenure.
The Traditional Council, comprising the seven King Makers and other traditional chieftaincy title holders, made the commendation in a statement signed on their behalf by the Chairman of the King Makers and High Chief Eesa of Oke Ode, Chief Oladosu Ekunnrin made available to Vanguard in Ilorin.
In the statement. the Oke Ode chiefs noted that the President made the right decision with the appointment, going by Ojulari’s vast experience in the nation’s oil and gas sector.
Pointing out that the petroleum industry, which is a very crucial sector of the nation’s economy, requires a very competent and dedicated hand to rescue it from the challenges it is currently facing, the Oke Ode chieftains expressed confidence that Engr Ojuari is able and capable to bring the necessary turn-around in NNPC for the benefit of Nigeria and the entire citizenry.
They, therefore, congratulated Engr Ojulari on his well-merited appointment and urged him to confront his new assignment with single-minded commitment to make the much-needed difference in the nation’s oil industry.
While praying Almighty God to guide every step of the new NNPC boss, the Oke Ode Traditional Council urged Engr Ojulari to continue to be the good ambassador of Kwara State and Oke Ode, which he has always been.
