Award-winning producer and actress Ogboi Isioma Nancy steps into the spotlight with her latest project, “Bloody Tale,” a gripping drama that delves into the realities of domestic violence and the haunting power of the past.

Ogboi Isioma Nancy, who both produced and starred in “Bloody Tale,” shared her motivation for taking on the dual responsibilities.

“When I read a script and the character challenges or scares me, that is the inspiration right there,” she explained. “I connected deeply with the role, and despite being the producer, I felt I needed to be a part of this project. Every actor finds that one role they truly connect with, and for me, this was it.”

Speaking about her experience working with renowned director Saheed Apanpa, Nancy described him as “a super talented director and filmmaker who pays serious attention to every detail. He takes care of everyone on set, from actors to crew members, ensuring a supportive environment for all.”

While the title “Bloody Tale” suggests intensity, Nancy emphasized that the film is much more than its name. “This movie addresses domestic violence in marriage. It’s filled with intrigue, secrecy, heartbreak, and betrayal. The audience will learn how the past can haunt us later in life and the importance of being careful with the oaths we take.”

Nancy takes on the role of Kemi, a woman subjected to daily abuse by her husband for trivial reasons. “Sadly, this is the reality for some women in their homes,” she said. “I loved immersing myself in this character, and I believe the audience has a lot to learn from this movie.”

Nancy expects the film to resonate deeply with viewers, particularly scenes where Kemi uncovers the reason behind her husband’s violence—a secret tied to an oath he took in his youth. “These moments will strike a chord with the audience,” she noted.

Reflecting on her growth as a producer, Nancy credited her collaboration with seasoned actors like Okey Uzoeshi, Felix Ugo, Omo Khodion, and Etinosa for expanding her industry knowledge. “Filmmaking is my passion, and I look forward to taking on more production roles in the future,” she affirmed.

Nancy expressed heartfelt gratitude to her cast and crew: “A big shoutout to the best crew members anyone could ask for. Each and every one brought their A-game to this production. Thank you—you are the real MVPs.”

With “Bloody Tale” complete, Nancy is already working on her next project, “Love with Scar,” featuring Mofe Duncan and other talented actors. The film will premiere soon on Vomax TV on YouTube.
