NAPS president lauds Seyi Tinubu, says he injects life into Nigeria’s youth

The President of the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS), Comrade Eshiofune Paul Oghayan Shoprite, has praised Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing him as a vital bridge between governance and Nigeria’s youth. He urged Seyi to continue pushing for reforms in education, health, agriculture, and other critical sectors shaping the nation’s future.

In a statement, the NAPS President said Seyi’s active engagement in youth affairs is not just commendable but revolutionary in a country where political access for young people is often restricted.

“In the symphony of nation-building, where leadership meets legacy, some individuals are born not only to bear names but to embody purpose. Seyi Tinubu has emerged as that noble bridge—mending the age-long disconnect between the youth constituency and the seat of power, and amplifying the voices of a generation too often unheard,” he stated.

Comrade Oghayan emphasized that in a nation where the dreams of young people are frequently stifled by political tides, Seyi Tinubu has demonstrated that youth engagement is more than tokenism—it is a duty of true visionaries.

He noted that through Seyi’s strategic involvement in governance, youth and student inclusion has significantly improved, citing appointments of young leaders to strategic positions as evidence of his commitment.

“More than just names and positions, these appointments are symbols of faith in the youth. As the African proverb says, ‘When the young are not initiated into the tribe, they will burn it down just to feel its warmth.’ But Seyi Tinubu, by giving youths a seat at the table, has ignited hope rather than resentment.”

The NAPS President also commended Seyi’s empathetic response to the North-East flood disaster, which affected student communities. According to him, Seyi’s provision of relief materials showed that true leadership is rooted not just in policy but in compassion.

He highlighted Seyi’s ongoing engagement through youth dialogues, roundtables, and consultations with student leaders across Nigeria.

“He listens, learns, and acts. This active presence is not just commendable; it is revolutionary.”

Representing over 28.1 million polytechnic students nationwide, Comrade Oghayan declared Seyi Tinubu’s contributions as a significant boost to the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu.

“He is living proof that the younger generation can lead not only with intellect but with integrity, insight, and inspiration.”

However, he also called on Seyi to do even more.

“To whom much is given, much is expected. We therefore urge him to continue championing youth unity and productivity, and to push harder for reforms in education, health, agriculture, and digital innovation—key areas critical to Nigeria’s progress.”

In conclusion, he expressed confidence in Nigeria’s future, stating:

“Nigeria is in safe hands, not only through its institutions but through individuals like Seyi Tinubu, who serve as bridges, builders, and beacons of national unity. May the road ahead be brighter, and may the seeds he has planted yield a bountiful harvest of national transformation.”
