My goal is to redefine craftsmanship in Nigeria -Oluwatosin Bakare

Amid the challenges of the 2020 pandemic, while many grappled with uncertainty, one Nigerian creative was quietly beginning a journey that would go on to shape an entire industry. Oluwatosin Esho Bakare, popularly known as “Foxy,” has emerged as a leading figure in Nigeria’s growing resin art scene.

From a simple creative experiment during lockdown to building a brand that now stands as a beacon of artistic innovation, Oluwatosin’s story is a testament to turning passion into purpose. She is the founder of The Craft and Resin Art Hub, widely recognized as The Crafthubnig, a brand that has produced over 700 bespoke resin pieces ranging from custom souvenirs to intricate, personalized keepsakes.

“Crafting has always been in my DNA,” she shared. “Growing up, my mum and I would do DIY projects with whatever we had around us. It was a way of bonding, learning, and creating. I just always knew I wanted to create something—something that was mine, something made by me.”

Her early passion has now evolved into groundbreaking work, including Nigeria’s first resin art engagement letter—a piece that gained widespread admiration within the resin art community and beyond. Oluwatosin is credited with introducing unique resin design techniques now adopted by other Resin Artist across the country.

But beyond her personal success, Oluwatosin’s journey is deeply rooted in empowering others, especially women. She has trained more than 60 women in the art of resin crafting, equipping them with skills and confidence to carve out their own creative paths.

“My mission is to help women discover their artistic potential and grow through creativity,” she affirmed.

In January 2025, she launched Born to Pour, a dynamic community aimed at nurturing feminine creativity and collective growth within the resin space. “My goal is to build more than just a community, but a sisterhood of women pouring into their dreams, their art, and each other,” oluwatosin said.

As she continues to innovate through The Crafthubnig, Oluwatosin Esho Bakare is not only changing the narrative of what it means to be a creative woman in Nigeria—she’s also setting new standards in artistry, resilience, and empowerment.

Her journey stands as a shining example of how even in the most uncertain times, beauty, strength, and purpose can still pour through.
