BOMADI — Media practitioners under the umbrella of the Ijaw Indigenous Media Practitioners, in collaboration with the Hon. Nicholas Ebomo Media Team, have extended their heartfelt condolences to Hon. Nicholas Ebomo Mutu, the lawmaker representing Patani/Bomadi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, following the passing of his elder brother, Chief Cletus Agbede Mutu.

Chief Mutu, a former President of the Customary Court in Ezebiri Community and a respected chief in the Akugbene-Mein Kingdom of Bomadi Local Government Area, passed away earlier this week after a brief illness.

In a condolence statement signed by Chancel Bomadi Sunday and Dickson Oki, the group expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing the deceased as “a rare gem” and “an extraordinary leader” who made significant contributions to democracy and community development at both local and state levels.

“Chief Cletus Agbede Mutu was an exemplary figure who played active roles in politics and community service. He served in various leadership capacities and contributed immensely to the progress of the Akugbene-Mein Kingdom and his home community of Akugbene, where he also served as a former community chairman,” the statement read.

The group prayed for divine comfort for Hon. Mutu and the entire Mutu family during this period of mourning, adding:

“We stand with you in this time of grief and pray that God Almighty grants you the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. As media practitioners, we not only share in your sorrow but reaffirm our unwavering support for your ongoing efforts and service.”
