Edo Grassroot Ambassadors, a sociopolitical group with international outlook, has expressed its unbridled joy over the judgment delivered by the Three-man Edo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, affirming Distinguished Senator Monday Okpebholo as the duly elected Governor of Edo State in the September 21, 2024 Governorship poll.

The convener of the group, Mr. James Okeati FCA, declared the organization’s satisfaction with the judgment, stating that it reflects the natural position of Edo people. Okeati believes Governor Okpebholo is the right person to rescue the state from economic sabotage, alleged larceny, and decrepit infrastructure.

Okeati praised Governor Okpebholo’s personal characteristics, such as empathy, genuine love, humility, and inclusive leadership, which contributed to his election victory. He noted that the Governor has surpassed expectations, citing achievements like the Ramat Park flyover project, improved security architecture, and innovative educational initiatives.

The group also commended the Nigerian judicial system for demonstrating its integrity and the PDP candidate, Asuen Ighodalo, for a good fight. Okeati urged Edo people to rally behind Governor Okpebholo for sustainable peace, progress, and love, embodying the spirit of the new Edo
