The Board of Directors and the Shareholders of Ultimate Health Management Services (Health Maintenance Organisation have appointed two new directors, Tosin Adefeko and Bolajoko Abiola-Odunowo to its board to strengthen the capacity and the functionality of the Board in line with global Corporate Governance and Best Practice.
According to a statement issued by its Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer, Otunba Lekan Ewenla, the appointment of the two women was also the organisation’s commitment to promoting gender inclusivity in accordance with the global agenda for gender inclusiveness in the Corporate World and Political Appointments.
Tosin Adefeko is a corporate executive and entrepreneur with over 25 years of diverse experience across various sectors. She has successfully led businesses and delivered impressive results in the financial services, print and broadcast media, and marketing communications industries.
Adefeko is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of AT3 Resources, also known as The Movant agency, an award-winning brand growth agency.
“Her company specialises in designing communications and creating movements that elevate brand experiences. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to helping brands thrive and has earned recognition as one of the top 50 women in marketing communications for two consecutive years. She was also named one of the leading women in Africa and appointed to the 2024 jury of the International Public Relations Association, among many other accolades.
“Passionate about gender inclusion, equity, and female empowerment, Adefeko is an active member of Women in Managing Business. She has served on several committees and chaired the communications committee for the annual conference for three years,” the statement noted.
The statement also said Bolajoko Abiola-Odunowo is a distinguished business executive with a multifaceted career spanning over three decades in finance, law, and logistics.
“She brings a unique combination of financial expertise, legal knowledge, and strategic business development to the Board of Ultimate Health HMO.
“Abiola-Odunowo has vast experience in treasury management and financial analysis, with a strong understanding of financial operations and risk management. She has also built significant expertise in oil and gas, real estate, and environmental law, with a special focus on regulatory compliance and legal frameworks within complex industries.
“Known for her ability to deliver results and build lasting business relationships, Abiola-Odunowo continues to play an instrumental role in shaping the future of Nigeria’s logistics landscape,” it added.
According to Ewenla, Adefeko and Abiola-Odunowo’s appointments reflect the organisation’s ongoing commitment to enhancing diversity and empowering women in leadership positions within the Organized Private Sector.
He said that the two Board appointments were intentionally made to enhance the growth of the organisation’s business focusing on the Organised Private Sector, the Informal Sector and the various Groups and Associations of Professionals in the country most importantly that the law has made enrolment on the health insurance program mandatory for all Nigerians and Legal Residents.
