The Rotary Club of Omole-Golden on Wednesday brought smiles and essential supplies to students of Oke-Ira Junior Grammar School in Lagos, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to fostering education within the community.

At the event held on the school grounds, the club generously donated a substantial number of school bags and water bottles to the eager students.

The initiative, spearheaded by the Rotary Club’s education committee, aimed to alleviate some of the financial burdens faced by families and ensure students have the necessary tools to succeed in their studies.

The brightly coloured school bags and durable water bottles were received with enthusiastic cheers and gratitude from the students.

Commenting on the donations, President, Rotary Club Omole-Golden Rotary, Rotarian Jide Ogunleye said: “We believe that every child deserves access to quality education, and that includes having the basic resources needed to learn.

“By providing these school bags and water bottles, we hope to inspire and encourage these young learners to reach their full potential.”

The donation was met with appreciation from the school’s administration and teachers, who highlighted the positive impact such contributions have on student morale and academic performance.

“This generous act from the Rotary Club of Omole-Golden will undoubtedly go a long way in supporting our students, the School Vice Principal, Mr Agunbiade A.S said.

“These supplies are not only practical but also serve as a reminder that the community cares about their education.”
