Azeez Adeshina Fashola aka Naira Marley at the weekend testified as the coroner court sitting at Ikorodu Lagos presided by Ms. T.A Shotobi convened to continue the inquiry into the suspicious demise of Ilerioluwa Promise Aloba, a.k.a Mohbad. 

Naira Marley testified before the court virtually, giving a precise and succinct testimony.

 Naira Marley testified that at the time of Mohbad’s unfortunate death, he was out of the country. 

He further stated that he had no animosity towards Mohbad before his death, relating the status of the contract that subsisted between himself and the deceased. 

He urged the coroner to look away from the suspects presented by the police and social media and look into interrogating Omowunmi and the 14 others who were present at the house some 48 to 72 hours before the unfortunate passing of the singer. 

He further stated that the persons who shared the deceased’s last moment with him tried to escape accountability by circulating an old video made by the deceased and which they know the deceased apologized for and was forgiven before exiting the record label. 

The Concerned Nigeria Citizens In Diaspora (Justice For Mohbad) who have been following up with justice for Mohbad, working tirelessly to ensure justice is procured urged the men and officers of the Nigeria Police, homicide section to look into the direction Naira Marley has pointed at during his testimony under oath.

“We believe that it is important the police invite and grill the wife of the deceased Omowunmi who is responsible for his well being and has given multiple contradictory accounts of what happened as well as the other persons present at his home including the brother of the deceased Adura Aloba.”

Based on this testimony of the ex-label boss of the deceased, the Nigerian citizens in the diaspora beseech the men of the Nigeria Police Force to thoroughly reinvestigate the case of suspected homicide of Mohbad 

The group further advised a detailed investigation of the whole 15 persons, including the wife of the deceased.
