ABUJA – FOLLOWING the impact made on the lives of Africans by outstanding philanthropists, the Mayorkings Agency Group has honoured the Chief Executive Officer, CEO, Capt. Hart Modey Foundation, Amb Hart Modey, with the prestigious ‘Marine Personality of the Year in Philanthropy Award’.

Modey was one of the 100 African Icon Personalities of the Year 2025, and the grand ceremony, powered by Mayorkings Charity Foundation, took place at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos, celebrating Africa’s trailblazers across various fields.

Meanwhile, Amb. Modey in his heartfelt and humble response to the prestigious award and recognition done him, wholeheartedly dedicated the award to his late father, Ada Fidelis Uloko Modey, while he acknowledged his father’s profound influence and impact on his life and where he is today.

He said: “Today, I dedicate this award to my late father, Ada Fidelis Uloko Modey. He played a vital role in shaping who I am, passing on values that continue to guide me.

“As a person who instilled in me the importance of resilience and integrity, his wisdom has consistently been my anchor.

“I often reflect on the life lessons he imparted, from cherishing relationships to embracing every opportunity with courage.

“These principles have not only helped me navigate challenges but they have also driven me to aim higher and achieve milestones like this one.”

Meanwhile, he further maintained that his late father’s legacy of generosity has greatly influenced and inspired his philanthropic initiatives and focus in whatever he does.

There were a lot of congratulatory messages poured on Amb Modey and other awardees in regards to their doggedness in solidifying their impact on Africa’s development and philanthropy.

The 100 African Icon Personalities of the Year 2025 event, a maiden edition by Mayorkings Agency Group, recognized individuals making significant contributions to society.
