How we are championing growth, visibility – Women in Business

By Ephraim Oseji

On February 14, women from different industries gathered for the Women Minding My Business seminar, a space for networking, learning, and empowerment. The event was a reminder that when women support each other, success becomes easier.

Branding & Visibility with Ijeoma Ude

One of the most engaging sessions was on Branding & Visibility, led by Ijeoma Ude. She spoke about why women need to be intentional about how they present themselves in their careers and businesses.

“In today’s world, how people see you can open or close doors for you. Your brand is your story, tell it well,” she advised.

She shared practical tips on how women can use social media, networking, and storytelling to create a strong personal brand.

Work-Life Balance & Family with Ifeoma Emenahi

The session on Work-Life Balance & Family by Ifeoma Emenahi was another eye-opener. She reminded women that while balancing work and family is tough, it’s possible with the right mindset.

“There is no perfect balance, but you can create harmony by knowing what is most important at each moment,” she explained.

She shared simple ways to manage time and reduce stress without feeling guilty.

Leadership & Influence with Jayne Opute

Leadership coach Jayne Opute took the audience through Leadership & Influence, encouraging women to take up leadership roles with confidence.

“We need more women in leadership. If we don’t support ourselves, who will?” she asked, sparking an engaging discussion.

Mindset & Personal Development with May Yul Edochie

May Yul Edochie’s session on Mindset & Personal Development was another favourite. She spoke about the power of self-belief and growth.

“Success starts in the mind. If you believe in yourself, others will believe in you too,” she said.

She encouraged women to embrace challenges and keep improving themselves.

Asides the sessions, the seminar created a space for real connections. Women shared their struggles, encouraged each other, and formed valuable relationships. The panel discussion at the end tied everything together, allowing speakers and participants to share key lessons from the day.

With inspiring speakers like Ijeoma Ude, Jayne Opute, Ogu Agu, Ifeoma Emenahi and many others, the event showed the growing impact of women in business. It was clear that women are not just making progress; they are changing the game, lifting each other up, and proving that success is best when shared.
