The UEFA Champions League quarter-finals fixtures are set following the conclusion of the Round of 16 on Wednesday night.
Aston Villa will take on Paris Saint-Germain in the first quarter-final fixture. Unai Emery’s side capitalized on their numerical advantage to secure a dominant 3-0 victory over Club Brugge, with Marco Asensio netting a brace and Ian Maatsen adding to the tally.
PSG, on the other hand, advanced after a dramatic penalty shootout win over Liverpool. Following a 1-1 aggregate draw, the French champions triumphed 4-1 on penalties at Anfield.
In another mouthwatering clash, Inter Milan will lock horns with Bayern Munich. Vincent Kompany’s Bayern comfortably saw off Bayer Leverkusen, sealing a 5-0 aggregate victory after a commanding 3-0 first-leg win at the Allianz Arena.
Harry Kane and Alphonso Davies added the finishing touches in the return leg. Inter Milan, meanwhile, secured their spot in the last eight with a 2-1 win over Feyenoord at the San Siro.
Barcelona will battle Borussia Dortmund for a place in the semi-finals. The Catalan giants eliminated Benfica, while Dortmund edged past Lille to book their quarter-final spot.
Arsenal are set to face Real Madrid, who needed penalties to overcome reigning champions Atletico Madrid in a tense Round of 16 clash.
First legs to be played April 8/9; Second legs to be played April 15/16.
