In a significant move aimed at professionalizing and standardizing the cleaning industry in Nigeria, the Environmental Health Council of Nigeria (EHCON) has officially accredited the Prime Environment Cleaners Network Association of Nigeria, also known as The Cleaners Network, as a recognized body for cleaning practitioners.
Beyond accreditation, EHCON has further demonstrated its commitment to supporting the sector by extending a flexible payment plan for registration fees across all classes of cleaning practitioners to members of The Cleaners Network.
This initiative is designed to alleviate financial burdens and encourage startups and established professionals to formalize their practice.
“This is a landmark moment for the cleaning industry in Nigeria,” stated an EHCON spokesperson. “We recognize the vital role cleaning professionals play in maintaining public health and environmental hygiene.
By accrediting The Cleaners Network and providing accessible payment options, we are fostering a more structured and regulated industry.”
The President of The Cleaners Network, Barr. Yakubu Mohammed Yazeed, expressed profound gratitude to EHCON, particularly acknowledging the Registrar, Dr. Yakubu Mohammed Bala.
“We are deeply thankful to EHCON for their belief in our vision to transform the cleaning industry,” Barr. Yazeed said. “This accreditation and the generous payment plan are a testament to their commitment to supporting our members. We are particularly grateful to Dr. Yakubu Mohammed Bala for his leadership.
We are dedicated to championing sustainable practices and aligning our work with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).”
Barr. Yazeed further emphasized the transformative potential of the partnership. “The collaboration between The Cleaners Network and EHCON will go a long way in facilitating the standardization of the Nigerian cleaning industry. It sets a clear pathway for cleaners to be recognized and respected as licensed professionals. This is a crucial step in elevating the industry and ensuring quality service delivery across the nation.”
The partnership is expected to drive significant improvements in industry standards, enhance professional development opportunities, and promote the adoption of best practices in environmental cleaning across Nigeria.
