Coronation Group marked the maiden edition of its Coronation Women Initiative Network (WIN) Conference, held on Thursday, March 13th, at the iconic Coronation Plaza in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Under the theme ‘Accelerate Action: From Pledge to Progress,’ the inaugural conference brought together an inspiring assembly of employees from Coronation offices in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja and Accra, alongside board members, CEOs, and senior executives across Coronation companies. Their collective presence reinforced Coronation’s unwavering commitment to sustainable wealth creation and transformational leadership across Africa.
The conference opened with a compelling address by Pai Gamde, Chief Talent Officer of Coronation Group Limited. She urged attendees to move beyond empowerment to tangible action, stating: “Women are already empowered. Now is the time to act. Identify one thing you will do differently to drive progress—both for yourself and for another woman. Let’s shift from participation to progress, from presence to power. When women are organised, we don’t just take part—we lead, we influence, and we create lasting impact. Let’s not only be part of the conversation—let’s drive it.”
The conference featured an impressive line-up of distinguished speakers, including Obi Ibekwe, CEO of Enterprise NGR; Ola Oladele, Founder of The Money Wit Club; and Jibola Odedina, MD/CEO of Coronation Securities Limited. Their insightful sessions explored leadership, innovation, self-empowerment and wealth creation, equipping attendees with practical strategies to transform aspirations into lasting legacies.
As a key pillar of Coronation’s broader sustainability strategy, Coronation WIN aligns with one of its twelve core themes—Women in Finance. This initiative underscores the organisation’s commitment to gender equality, workplace diversity, and inclusive leadership.
Launched in April 2024, Coronation WIN (Women Initiative Network) is dedicated to supporting women’s personal and professional growth. The initiative provides mentorship, leadership development workshops, networking opportunities, and educational seminars, fostering a culture of inclusivity and collective progress. Through this initiative, Coronation invites both women and men to champion the pursuit of gender equality, ensuring that every participant emerges as a catalyst for change.
The celebration reached a crescendo with an electrifying fusion of music and spoken word. Evelyn Zibili, also known as Evelle—an award-winning singer and winner of Nigerian Idols Season 4—delivered a powerful musical performance, captivating the audience with her soulful voice and dynamic stage presence. Complementing this was a thought-provoking spoken word segment by Boluwatife Adetokunbo, a talented Coronation staff member, and renowned spoken word artist Wana Udobang, whose masterful delivery added depth and inspiration to the event. Together, their performances infused the room with energy, leaving the audience empowered and uplifted.
The Coronation WIN Conference 2025 was more than just an event—it was a movement. As Coronation continues to lead in sustainable wealth creation, the company remains steadfast in its commitment to empowering women, fostering leadership, and transforming aspirations into legacies.
