WILAN targets gender-based perceptions, others in The Leading Woman Show

Women in Leadership Advancement Network (WILAN) Global has concluded plans to reshape perceptions and drive progress toward gender-balanced leadership with The Leading Woman Show Season 3, a television show dedicated to amplifying the voices and impact of women leaders in Nigeria. 

The premier of the show would hold  on February 8, 2025.

The show would be hosted by Abosede George-Ogan, a renowned advocate for women’s leadership and the founder and executive director of WILAN Global. 

Briefing newsmen in Lagos, she said the show promises to deliver another season of insightful discussions, inspiring stories, and actionable strategies for empowering women.

According to her, the latest show would build on the success of previous seasons.

She said:”Season 3 themed ‘The Policy Series’ will explore a variety of topics that range from demystifying policies, the intricacies of policymaking, and the importance of gender-inclusive policies like women’s economic empowerment policies. Viewers can expect to hear from policymakers diverse leaders, and influential voices who are actively driving change in Nigeria’s policy-making landscape.

“The Leading Woman Show is more than just a talk show; it’s a bold attempt to deconstruct social norms that have hindered women,” says Abosede. “We are committed to reshaping the perception of women leaders, challenging stereotypes, and inspiring the next generation of female changemakers.

“We are grateful for the support of our partners, the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) and, Luminate.

 “Their commitment to advancing women’s leadership and fostering democratic values has been instrumental in making The Leading Woman Show a reality. and their funding allows us to amplify the voices of women leaders, drive meaningful conversations, and inspire lasting change.”

Those who had featured in The Leading Woman Show  featured include CEO, ONE Campaign Ndidi Nwuneli, retired legal practitioner and author Dele Farotimi; Special Advisor on Climate Change and Circular Economy to the Governor of Lagos state, Titilayo Oshodi; Lead Pastor of The Elevation Church, Pastor Godman Akinlabi; Executive Secretary of Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy, Ayisat Agbaje-Okunade; Award-winning Journalist and Bureau Chief of Bloomberg Nigeria, Anthony Osae-Brown; CEO of Aspire Trust Foundation, Osayi Allile; Award-winning actress, Kate Henshaw; Member of Forbes Business Council and Founder of Rellies Works, Kemi Ogunkoya; and Multiple Award Winning Broadcaster, Ayo Mario-Ese among others. 

Season 3 promises would continue the tradition of excellence, with an  impressive lineup of leaders who will share their expertise and insights on a wide range of topics.
