The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, has called on President Bola Tinubu to give more support to the National Security Advisor, NSA, Nuhu Ribadu, so as to further enhance the security architecture of the nation.

The NANS Senate President, Comrade Akinteye Afeez, stated this in a statement on Saturday.

“We acknowledge and commend the significant strides made by the National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, in enhancing the security architecture of our nation. His dedication, strategic interventions, and commitment to national security have played a crucial role in tackling various security challenges confronting the country.

“However, it is evident that enemies of the state, those who thrive on instability and insecurity, are intensifying efforts to undermine his work and weaken the progress being made. This is a critical time for decisive leadership, and we urge His Excellency President Bola Tinubu to reinforce his support for the National Security Adviser in order to sustain and advance ongoing security reforms.

“Malam Nuhu Ribadu is a leader who has been tested and trusted. His integrity is second to none, and his track record in public service speaks volumes about his competence and dedication to the nation. His wealth of experience and uncompromising stance against corruption and insecurity make him a crucial asset in the collective effort to ensure national stability.

“National security is the foundation of national development, and any attempt to derail the efforts of a dedicated public servant like Ribadu must be met with firm resistance. We stand in solidarity with the National Security Adviser and call on all well-meaning Nigerians to support his mission of securing the lives and property of our citizens.

“We trust that President Tinubu, as a leader committed to national progress, will not allow detractors to disrupt the work being done to make Nigeria safer. Providing the National Security Adviser with the necessary resources, backing, and authority to execute his duties effectively will further consolidate the administration’s commitment to a secure Nigeria.”
