A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State, Timi David, has chided the Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri.

In a statement to Vanguard, David claimed that Diri lied about not performing rituals to become governor.

According to David, Diri’s Supreme Court victory was not a divine intervention, rather the result of a rituals organized by his friends.

Diri has previously spoken about how he declined an offer to perform rituals to become governor, citing his faith in God.

David’s statement emphasizes the need for politicians to be truthful with the public and not use   showbiz churches as a means to justify their victories.
