THE Supreme Head, Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria, Prophet Solomon Alao has expressed worries that politicians were using religion and tribalism to divide the people, noting that it should be nipped in the bud.

He also called on President Bola Tinubu to be more proactive in the fight against insecurity and to prevent its spread to the South West.
He also called for the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPoB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, to be granted a Presidential pardon for peace to reign in the land.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of the 2025 Annual General Conference, Alao noted that the event is scheduled to be held from January 30 to February 2, 2025, with the theme: ‘Preparing The Church for The Set Time.

He said: “President Tinubu should put tough legislation in place to avert these social vices. Politicians are using religion and tribalism to divide us and there is a need for us to nip this act in the bud.”

He further urged the Presidency to fight corruption, reduce the cost of governance, boost food security and engage religious leaders towards implementing government policies and other policies at the grassroots.
Meanwhile, Rev Mother Esther Ajayi, Founder of Love of Christ Generation Church appreciated Prophet Alao for his divine guidance.

She said: “I am hopeful that Nigeria will be great. God will touch the heart of the President and his cabinet in making Nigeria a country flowing with milk and honey. We are a community placed on the hill and we cannot be hidden.”
