Navigating the complex journey of fertility can be a daunting experience, and for Pharm. Victoria Bamiro, it is also deeply personal. As the founder of Fertilitywithvic, a subsidiary of Quantum Plus Pharmacy & Stores Ltd., Victoria’s mission is to transform despair into joy for couples struggling to conceive.
“I started this journey after facing my own fertility challenges as a young married woman,” she shared. “Despite being a pharmacist, I realized my knowledge was limited when it came to fertility. I had so much to learn and unlearn. That experience birthed Fertilitywithvic, and since then, our focus has been to help couples become joyful parents within the shortest possible time.”
Over the past five years, Fertilitywithvic has guided over 600 couples to successful parenthood. The platform combines fertility education, personalized coaching programs, and the provision of supplements to support couples on their path to conception. Victoria’s initiative is driven by a vision to touch the lives of one million women experiencing fertility issues.
Addressing Myths and Bridging Knowledge Gaps
One of the significant challenges Victoria encounters is societal misconceptions surrounding fertility. She observes, “There are so many myths about fertility, and most women simply want a magic pill to fix everything. Fertility isn’t that straightforward—there’s so much to understand about the body, the partner, and the process itself.”
A lack of openness among women and the uncooperative nature of some spouses also present hurdles. Victoria emphasizes the importance of education in this journey: “Improving fertility knowledge in our environment is crucial. Couples need to understand that it’s not always about one solution; it’s about looking at the bigger picture.”
Through her work, Victoria is breaking down stigmas and fostering a safe environment where couples can share their concerns. She advocates for a holistic approach, ensuring clients are equipped with the tools and information needed to make informed decisions.
Currently, Fertilitywithvic is focused on empowering women aged 20 to 45 by helping them understand their bodies and fertility. Victoria and her team provide guidance, recommend suitable supplementation, and create a support system for clients. Looking ahead, she plans to expand her reach, educating young girls in secondary schools about feminine health and menstrual cycle issues.
Additionally, Fertilitywithvic aims to establish a foundation to support couples requiring advanced reproductive treatments, such as IVF, IUI, or surrogacy. “Fertility challenges affect both men and women,” Victoria notes. “It’s not always the woman’s fault. We need to shift the narrative and encourage men to be part of the conversation.”
Pharm. Victoria Bamiro is changing lives and redefining the fertility journey for countless families with her dedication and expertise, and the whole world cannot wait for what’s next
