Fubara Supporters Fete citizens, Distribute Community Policing Booklets

Kaduna,- As part of the year-end celebrations in Kaduna, supporters of Sir Siminalayi Fubara,the Governor of Rivers state,have feted citizens at Murtala Square Kaduna to promote peace and security in the region.

The event highlighted the importance of community policing in bridging the gap between law enforcement and the community.

During the program, 2000 booklets on Community Policing were distributed to attendees. This initiative was part of the ongoing efforts to promote peace and security in Northern Nigeria.

The distribution of these booklets was aimed at educating the community on the benefits of community policing and to encourage active participation in maintaining peace and security.

The programme has distributed community policing booklets to various organizations and individuals in the region, including: Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) Headquarters, Kaduna: 4,000 copies-Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Northern States Headquarters: 4,000 copies- Jammiyar Matan Arewa, Kaduna State: 200 copies-Ex Vice President Atiku: 200 copies- Ex Vice President Namadi Sambo: 200 copies- State Minister of Police Affairs: 1,000 copies- Former President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida: 300 copies- Former President Abdulsalam Abubakar: 200 copies-Northern Governors Forum: 200 copies- Northern Council of Chiefs: 100 copies-and Executive Governor of Kaduna State: 100 copies.”

“The program works closely with several organizations, including Arewa Integrity Groups, Northern Professionals Partners, and Northern Schoolars Prayers Forum, among others.”

“This initiative aims to bridge the gap between the people of Rivers State and the northern states of Nigeria. Sir Siminalayi Fubara’s image and values have been recognized and respected in the region, with elders and clerics defining him as a great visionary leader and man of peace.”

“The program’s importance lies in its potential to:Promote peace and security in Northern Nigeria- Bridge the gap between law enforcement and the community- Educate the community on the benefits of community policing- Encourage active participation in maintaining peace and security,” he added.
