The Delborough Lagos, a premier luxury hotel situated in the heart of Victoria Island, Lagos, has sparked reactions following outstanding performances months after commencement of operations.

At its second annual board meeting, where dignitaries like His Royal Majesty, the Obi of Onitsha (Agbogidi), Nnaemeka Alfred Uzochukwu Achebe, Chief Mike A.A. Ozekhome SAN, Usman Alkali Baba, Arc. During the meeting, the Chairman of the Board, Achebe, proudly announced that within its first year of operation, The Delborough Lagos hosted over 16 serving and former presidents from across Africa, alongside global icons such as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Princess Meghan, as well as numerous diplomats from around the world.
Addressing the press, the Chairman emphasized the hotel’s vision of becoming a global leader in hospitality. “This meeting was aimed at reviewing our business operations and setting targets for the future. Our plan is to make The Delborough Lagos the first choice for hospitality in Nigeria, Africa, and the world. The security, attention to detail, and state-of-the-art facilities set us apart from the competition,” he said.
In less than a year, The Delborough Lagos has attracted high-profile figures, including African heads of state, prime ministers, governors, lawmakers, diplomats, and executives from global organizations like the United Nations and African Union. These remarkable milestones position the hotel as a symbol of excellence in the hospitality industry.
Dr. Stanley Uzochukwu, the Managing Director of The Delborough Lagos, disclosed that the board is considering multiple requests from African presidents to replicate the luxury brand in their countries. “Our focus is to export hospitality to the world, and we will pursue this goal vigorously,” Uzochukwu said.
