Ahead of its much anticipated release, a star-studded event at Imax Lekki recently celebrated the upcoming film, ’77: The FESTAC Conspiracy.’ A sequel to the critically acclaimed ’76,’ this new film promises to immerse audiences in the rich cultural history of Nigeria.

The event kicked off with a captivating screening of the film’s trailer, offering a glimpse into the historical and cultural significance of 1977. A panel discussion followed, featuring the director, Izu Ojukwu, alongside

cast members Ramsey Nouah, Rita Dominic, Adonijah Owiriwa, Soibifaa Dokubo, as well as the writer, Olisa Eloka and Executive Producer, Prince Tonye Princewill. The panelists discussed the challenges and rewards of bringing this significant chapter of Nigerian history to the screen.

Expressing his excitement about the project, CEO of FilmHouse Group, Kene Okwuosa stated, “This film is a tribute to the resilience of Nigerian filmmakers and the power of cinema to bring our history and stories to life.”
