The Sir Emeka Offor Foundation’s Touch-a-Life Housing Initiative has transformed the lives of 10 widows in Oraifite, Anambra State, by donating modern bungalows worth over N200 million.

The homes, built and fully furnished, were handed over to the widows in a ceremony held at the Radio House, Blaze and Ijele FM stations in Oraifite.

Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo praised Sir Emeka Offor for his philanthropic efforts, emphasizing that the gesture aligns with the motto of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), “Onye Aghana Nwanneya” (Be your brother’s keeper). He called on other affluent individuals to follow Offor’s example in contributing to the well-being of the less fortunate.

The Vice President of the Foundation, Barr. Mrs. Adaora Emeka Offor, explained that the initiative, launched four years ago, aims to restore dignity and safety to widows. She also urged the government to enact laws to ensure widows’ rights to inheritance.

AIG Chris Okey Ezike (rtd), Chief of Staff to Sir Emeka Offor, highlighted that the project showcases Sir Offor’s unwavering commitment to uplifting the lives of the less privileged, offering the widows a fresh start with secure, comfortable homes.

The event was attended by notable figures, including Mrs. Karimatu Mohammed Ali Pate, wife of the Honourable Minister of Health, Anambra State Speaker Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, and others.
