Public Affairs analyst, Ushie Benard, has suggested reasons why Martha Agba should be the next Chairman of Obudu Local Government Area.

According to him, Martha posseses the competence to become the next LGA chair.

He wrote thus:

“As the window draws closer and we move to the final decision on who will be the next Chairman of Obudu Local Government Area, it is important to look at competence ahead of political ruggedness.

There is a need to look at who checks all the check boxes of what a 21st century leader should be. This decision is crucial because it suggests what Obudu Local Government Area will look like in the next 3 years.

Looking at the current infrastructure been developed and other which his Excellency prince Bassey has laid for the people of obudu which will attract global interest there is no better time than now to get one who has served in various capacities home and abroad  to drive with the vision of the new Obudu,Do we want an Obudu that will be disturbed by political interest or rival group clashes, or we want an Obudu that will be calm centered with nurturing Spirit of Gods leading and on the steady path of development.

The aspirants have been reduced to 3, and we have the curriculum vitae of all the aspirants. Undoubtedly, Martha comes first judging by her experience, educational background, exposure, trainings and contacts. Martha has represented Nigeria at several international, national events/conferences, most recently the UN CSW68, which she attended as one of the delegates from Nigeria.

Over the years, she has trained herself well enough for this responsibility. With her contacts and antecedents, it is certain that under Martha, Obudu will experience a massive turnaround of her economic fortunes. Martha is a focused,determined and Resourceful young lady who will ensure properl and endless leverage on her social capital to bring more engagement  and investment to Obudu LGA.

She brings on board her public and private sector experience. From the inception of her campaign, she has made it clear that she will be for everyone, irrespective of class, political linings, or community. Obudu desperately needs someone who is solidly exposed and understands what it means to be a 21st century leader. All these attributes we find in Martha Agba.”
