Fast-rising act Ebitimi said the essence of his going into music was to popularize Afrobeats music in Asia. The Philippines-based singer said this, following the release of his much-awaited single,“Wait.”
The single, produced by Spellz, one of the notable producers in Africa, was released recently on all streaming platforms. Afrobeats, he said, has gone worldwide with the likes of Burna Boy, Wizkid and Davido leading the way.
“As a Port-Harcourt boy, living in the Philippines, I want to contribute my quota in the music space and use my talent to promote Afrobeats in Asia. Working with Spellz was a dream come true. He is one of the biggest producers in Africa and well respected in the music industry with notable names like Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, 2baba among other A-list acts he has produced over the years,” Ebitimi said.
EJMB Music, his record label, has hinted that the release of ‘Wait’ was mainly to launch him into the mainstream of the Nigerian music scene, and further propel the Afrobeats in Asia.
