In a display of compassion and commitment, the Saint Agomeze Empowerment Foundation, led by its visionary convener, Agomeze Saint Chukwuemeka, conducted an outreach at the Ikoyi Correctional Center on October 1st, 2024.

The visit is part of the foundation’s ongoing mission to bring hope, love, and material support to incarcerated individuals, with a particular focus on uplifting Nigeria’s youth and ensuring they are guided towards a future of purpose and positive impact.

For several years, the foundation has carried out annual prison outreach programmes on October 1st, marking Nigeria’s Independence Day and the birthday of Agomeze saint.

Previous outreaches have taken place at the Kirikiri Prison, Female Maximum Security Prison, and Juvenile Prisons across Lagos, with Ikoyi being the latest stop in this life-changing initiative.

During the outreach, members of the foundation donated a variety of essential items to the inmates, including personal care products, clothing, and food supplies.

This act of kindness was coupled with an interactive session that allowed foundation members to engage with the inmates on a personal level.

“Our goal is to show them that no matter where they find themselves, they are not forgotten, and they still have the power to shape their futures,” said Agomeze Saint.
A central tenet of the foundation’s work is the empowerment of young people, whether inside or outside the walls of correctional centers.

In line with this, the outreach also served as the launchpad for a new initiative under the foundation’s banner: GENZ Involvement in a New Nigeria (GINN 4.0).

This initiative is focused on instilling positive values and the right character in young Nigerians, helping them take ownership of their future and build a country they can be proud of.

The Saint Agomeze Empowerment Foundation explained that it has set an ambitious goal of securing the release of 100 inmates by the next outreach, slated for October 1st, 2025.

Through legal assistance, character-building programmes, and ongoing support, the foundation aims to reintegrate these individuals into society as productive citizens.

“We believe that rehabilitation is not just about serving time; it’s about helping people develop the mindset and skills they need to contribute positively to society,” Agomeze Saint said.
