The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has urged the people of Ondo State to support Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa in his re-election bid, advocating for continuity in his progressive leadership.

Ganduje, speaking at the inauguration of the APC Governorship Campaign Council in Akure, led by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, highlighted Aiyedatiwa’s achievements, describing them as a reflection of the APC’s “progressive ideology.”

Ganduje called on Ondo residents to mobilize and ensure victory for the party in the upcoming election, vowing to continue the administration’s development agenda across urban and rural areas.

“Governor Aiyedatiwa is a symbol of progressive leadership,” Ganduje said. “Ondo State is fortunate to have him, and it’s crucial to ensure the region’s alignment with our party’s vision. We are committed to a fair and transparent election, which will showcase the support he enjoys among the people.”

Campaign Council’s Endorsement

Governor Sanwo-Olu, Chairman of the campaign council, praised Aiyedatiwa’s dedication and commitment in the last 305 days since taking office, noting that his record of projects and achievements makes the re-election campaign straightforward.

“Our campaign will focus on issues, not sentiments or insults,” Sanwo-Olu stated. “With Aiyedatiwa’s legacy of impactful projects, we can confidently assure Ondo citizens of a brighter future. He has shown, in less than a year, his dedication to development that uplifts communities.”

Aiyedatiwa: A Vision for Growth

Addressing the gathering, Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude for the trust Ondo people have shown, pledging to continue improving their lives through initiatives in infrastructure, agriculture, education, and social welfare.

“This election is a defining moment for our state and party,” Aiyedatiwa said. “Our party’s journey in Ondo is an open book of unity, vision, and progress. We have consistently listened to the people, and they see the sincerity in our approach.”

The governor highlighted key achievements, including road projects, timely salary payments, support for entrepreneurs, educational grants, and initiatives for youth empowerment.

Party Leaders Confident in Victory

Isaac Kekemeke, the APC’s National Vice Chairman (South-West), and Ade Adetimehin, Ondo State APC Chairman, both expressed optimism about Aiyedatiwa’s chances, noting strong local support that has “intimidated” opposition candidates.

Adetimehin emphasized, “Governor Aiyedatiwa’s popularity and his dedication to serving Ondo people make us confident of a landslide victory.”

With a robust campaign structure in place, APC leaders reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring a peaceful election on November 16, where they hope Aiyedatiwa’s achievements will resonate with voters across the state.
