
Liberty University’s School of Business hosted its CEO Business Summit, featuring several business CEOs and world leaders to share insights and experiences with its students, the event held from 23-25 September, 2024, amongst the keynote speakers are Steve Green – President, Hobby Lobby, Eric Schimpf – President & Co-Head, Merrill Wealth Management, Jack Hollis – EVP & Chief Operating Officer, Toyota North America, David Malpass – Fmr. President of the World Bank & Distinguished Fellow, Daniels School of Business Purdue University, Tulsi Gabbard – Former U.S. Congresswoman and Presidential Candidate, etc.
Notable Nigerian delegates included His Excellency, former vice president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, the Olu of Warri, Engr. Nnamdi Felix Unachukwu, Chairman Dax Group, Cosmas Maduka Chairman Coscharis group and a few others who graced the summit.
Sharing his experience at the summit, Engr. Nnamdi Felix Unachukwu, a business coach who has been championing Entrepreneurship education in Nigeria said it was a very exciting experience, listening to global leaders and world leaders share insights into future developments.
“The whole essence of the summit was to bring together all these top leaders to mingle, motivate and connect with the graduating students of Liberty University,” he said. “I was glad to find several Nigerian students whom we were able to share knowledge with.”
“We had a 3 hours plus tour of the university and I saw that these people are very intentional with all they do in fostering impact driven functional education for the young. The level of impact such events have on the students is such that gives them the power to believe that anything is possible and they go all out with such mindset doing great stuffs globally.” “This is what I have been advocating for these past years, we have been working with several stakeholders in the education sector to implement entrepreneurship education in our basic schools and we are glad that we are almost at implementation stage for it.”
“We want Nigeria to have a functional education that will bring out the best from our students so that they can compete in the global space.”
Engr Nnamdi Felix Unachukwu is a serial entrepreneur, business coach, and the Chief research director at Business matters incubators finishing school (BMI) an organization working to empower the next generation of entrepreneurs through innovative education and mentorship programs. Through the BMI Catch Them Young (BMI-CTY) initiative of the organization, it has been advocating for the inclusion of entrepreneurship education in the school curriculum and supporting various entrepreneurship education pilot schemes in various private and government schools in Nigeria.
