NECA unveils plans for 2024 employers’ excellence awards

The Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association, NECA, has unfolded plans for 4th edition of its annual employers’ excellence awards for 2024.

The Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association, NECA, has unfolded plans for 4th edition of its annual employers’ excellence awards for 2024.

Scheduled for Friday, November 22, 2024, at the Balmoral Convention Center, Maryland, Ikeja, Lagos, the NECA informed that the event, aimed at recognizing and appreciating outstanding organizations and as employers who have demonstrated excellence in workplace practices, innovation, leadership, and corporate responsibilities, among others.

According to NECA, the award has become a benchmark for corporate excellence in the country, providing a platform to honour companies that have excelled in their contributions to the nation’s economy and commitment to fostering employees’ welfare, diversity, and sustainability.

Speaking on the theme; “Defying The Odds”, the Director-General of NECA, Mr. Adewale-Smatt Oyerinde, stressed the importance of rewarding organizations who prioritize, not only profitability, but demonstration of tenacity due to tough economic terrain, as well as well-being of their employees and the wider society.

“The employers’ excellence award has become a beacon of inspiration for companies in Nigeria. It showcases how businesses can succeed by nurturing their workforce, investing in innovation, and giving back to the community,” the NECA Director General noted.

While officially launching the 2024 awards, he called on stakeholders to actively participate and support the event through sponsorship, stressing the need to showcase excellence in Nigerian businesses, noting that participation in the award is free of charge.

According to him, “The 2024 edition of the awards will feature different categories, as well as, new inclusion of some sub-segments in a bid to further recognize and reward excellence.”

Among other things recognise employer of the year and the overall excellence in organizational management and people development and , innovation in employee development.

For companies, it would recognise excellence in training and empowering employees.

Thè corporate social responsibility excellence award would honour organizations with notable contributions to societal well-being through impactful CSR initiatives among other categories.

NECA therefore invites companies, across all sectors to submit their nominations for the awards while encouraging stakeholders to take advantage of the sponsorship opportunities to enhance their brand exposures.
