BENIN CITY – AS a way of diversifying their capacities and knowledge, participants in this year’s Next Top Model Nigeria to select the best model would be trained in various businesses which would boost their entrepreneurial capacity and skills like photography to make them all-rounder in fashion and design and modelling.

Addressing a press conference to announce the commencement of the show which is holding this year in Benin City and will be on for three weeks, the Executive Director/Headliner of Next Top Model Nigeria, organizers of the show, Jojo Dominic said the star winner would win a N1 million cash prize and trip to attend Naija Festival in the United Kingdom in 2025.

He said “We are excited to bring Next Top Model to Benin City this is a show that happens in Lagos I think if we can be dig it in Lagos, the centre of entertainment, the fashion industry, the models, we need to create more rooms for models here in Benin City and also create opportunities for them not just runway way models but ambassadors to brands, ambassadors to fashion houses and also understand the most important part of the modeling industry which is business because many models don’t understand the business part of modeling and fashion industry. It is created to provide platforms but they also have classes like business classes, runway, photography and our sponsors have incentives for them but the cash prize is N1m and participants must have their international passports because of the international brands.

“We are looking for that one model who will become an international model and travel with Allure Collection to the UK for the Naija Festival 2025.”

He said designers in Edo State would also be given the opportunity to showcase their works in the open gallery.

Speaking, the Representative of one the partners, Dark Blue Energy Drink. Esiele Ochuko said there was much needed to be a model “but some of us just want to be in the spotlight without knowing what it takes to be there so this is to also let them know what it takes to be in the spotlight.”

Allure collections through its Executive Manager, Eric Okungbowa said as one of the partners, he was glad that the event was coming to the South-South same as Obi Faith of Faithfyn Photography.

To the General Manager of Bside FM, Adesuwa Lato, the radio station would host the winner of the event and take him or her through some basic radio broadcasting.
