IGP Egbetokun visits Borno to commiserate with Zulum over flood devastation

On Monday, September 16, 2024, Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun visited Borno State to sympathize with the government and people affected by the recent floods.

He was accompanied by Deputy Inspectors General of Police Bala Ciroma and Ede Ayuba, as well as AIG Airwing Danladi Lalas.

At the Government House, IGP Egbetokun met with Governor Babagan Zulum, Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, and other dignitaries. He expressed heartfelt sympathy to the governor on behalf of the entire Nigerian police force and reaffirmed their commitment to providing adequate security for the state’s residents.

The IGP also promised to initiate the repair of damaged police facilities in the affected communities. Governor Zulum appreciated the IGP’s support and commended his leadership qualities in piloting the police force.

Later, IGP Egbetokun addressed officers and men of the command, emphasizing professionalism and dedication to securing the people and property of Borno State, even in the face of disaster. He encouraged them to assist the government in providing relief and restoring normalcy to the state.
