Betty Lamboi better known as Jelly Been on the African music scene has described herself not only as an entertainer but also a preacher and a teacher in the way she composes her songs.

She added that her songs are replete with messages of hope, inspiration drawn from real life experiences.

Hear her: “I do certain songs that give hope, preach love and peace, teach lessons and of course, make people happy  and uplift their spirits setting them on the right path to live a positive life.

“My sound and style of music  are my selling poibts because I have a different and unique way of passing on my messages through. But my music is not just about the sound but more about the lyrical content that preaches and teaches about life.

” I became inspired by real life experiences and things that happene around me and the society as a whole. My  production process is a mix of African and European sound to make it more unique and universally appealing to people from different nationalities and races.”

The Sierra Leonean artist has a body of work in the making titled “Sappy”, an EP  concocted by her under her record label known as ABangz Originals.

She describes “Sappy” the EP as a reflection of her  attributes, adding that it is about happy and sad moments.

“Every teacher and preacher knows life isn’t all about good times, there are highs and lows, this is something “Sappy” is trying to drive home. Don’t get me wrong Jelly Bee is all about positive vibes and energy all the way but unfortunately, life is not and we have to come to grasp with this reality, she said.

Jelly Bee yearns to have collaborations with artists like Shadow Boxer, Drizilik, Natasha, Davido, Olamide, Sarkodie and many others but her ultimate dream is to be recognized as a global artist with many African and International  awards to her name. BET and the Grammys are top on her wish list.
