The Dalyboy Belgason Foundation will host a free medical outreach from October 1 to October 2, 2024, aimed at providing essential healthcare services to underserved communities in Ihiala, Anambra State.
Led by US-based recording artist Dalyboy Belgason, popularly known as “Dalyboy,” the program will commence at Juniorate Seminary Uzoakwa on the first day before moving to different locations in Ihiala on the second day.
The outreach will primarily focus on specialized eye care, offering services such as eye surgeries, prescription glasses, and general ophthalmology treatments. “Our medical team is ready to provide crucial care, particularly to the elderly, single mothers, and widows who need it the most,” Dalyboy said.
Fulfilling a long-standing ambition to give back to his community, Dalyboy explained, “I’ve always wanted to do more, but financial constraints were a barrier. Now, with this outreach, I can finally make a meaningful impact.”
He expressed concern over Nigeria’s current economic hardships, which have increased the need for private sector involvement in community welfare. “Given the economic challenges, this outreach is a way to offer vital support to those who might not otherwise have access to healthcare. Our goal is to reach 5,000 people across Ihiala,” he added.
In addition to healthcare services, the foundation will distribute food items and cash gifts to the less privileged. Beneficiaries will receive essential commodities such as rice, beans, garri, onions, noodles, palm oil, and salt. Dalyboy emphasized that the initiative is not a one-off event but something he plans to continue annually on October 1st and 2nd in celebration of Nigeria’s Independence Day.
Through this outreach, the Dalyboy Belgason Foundation aims to create lasting change, offering both immediate relief and long-term hope to vulnerable members of the community.
