PAP: Phase 3 beneficiaries allege impersonation of chairman, Ekpebide

THIRD Phase beneficiaries of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Delta State chapter, have warned against the impersonation of their group National Chairman, Amb Preye Ekpebide.

In a statement signed by Kerebi Ombe, Chapter Chairman and Hon Ujeyah Princewill R.Louis, Secretary, the Delta beneficiaries accused Elaye Slaboh, from neighboring Bayelsa State of posing as National Chairman of the Third Phase of the PAP stakeholders group, a position they alleged he does not hold.

The statement noted that their current national Chairman, Ekpebide was duly elected and took over leadership from the immediate past Chairman, Tonye Bobo, after a peaceful election.

“Beneficiaries of the Third Phase of the PAP hereby warn Slaboh to desist from impersonating Amb Ekpebide who was legitimately elected Chairman of the group.

We urge all beneficiaries to disregard any claim by the Slaboh”.

The group further cautioned that anyone dealing with the body aside from the leadership of Amb Ekpebide does so at his perils as such a person would not earn the recognition by Third Phase beneficiaries of the PAP.

They urged PAP Administrator, Dr. Dennis Otuaro to swiftly intervene by dealing with the new leadership while also appealing to the Delta state government, NDDC, Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) International Oil Companies (IOCs) and other development partners to to embrace the body to accelerate progressive development in the region.

When contacted, embattled Slaboh, accused of impersonation responded, “Don’t mind them, allow them to be wasting their money on publications, but I am the National Chairman of PAP Third Phase”.
