The publication by some lawmakers with the name “Agenda 1”, calling for caution in the probe of the Group Chief Executive Officer of Nigeria National Petroleum Company Ltd. (NNPCL), Mr. Mele Kyari, had sharply divided the federal legislators.

A group of 118 lawmakers were said to have signed the publication led by Rep. Ibori-Suenu Erhiatake, Chairman of the House Committee on NDDC.

The group in the publication demanded a fair hearing in the probe of Kyari, adding that any call for his resignation at this stage is unnecessary and premature.
