In a move to promote youth development in the Niger Delta region, Akpowene Jude Kakpovbia, a renowned cultural icon and nominee for the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in Delta State, is set to collaborate with Elvis Akpobi, Executive Director of Not-Too-Young-To-Lead, a youth advocacy organization.

According to a statement, Kakpovbia, is a proud son of the Niger Delta region, who has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to the promotion and preservation of Urhobo cultural heritage, earning him the prestigious Niger Delta Personality Award 2024.

His tireless efforts have not only preserved the Urhobo culture but also inspired a new generation of cultural ambassadors.

Through his exceptional leadership and passion, Kakpovbia has successfully bridged cultural gaps and fostered understanding through the traditional EMA Dance on global stages.

His commitment to cultural excellence has earned him recognition as a cultural icon, inspiring a new era of pride in the rich heritage of the Niger Delta region.

The statement added that the collaboration between Kakpovbia and Akpobi aims to sustain the cultural heritage of Urhobo through his EMA dance group and value orientation campaign among young Urhobos.

Akpobi said: “This partnership will promote youth development in the region, providing a platform for young people to engage with their cultural heritage and develop valuable skills.”
