Responding to questions on her experience during the camping, she said, “I am a graduate of University of Calabar and also an entrepreneur. My experiences in the house was challenging and tough. It was not easy initially staying in the same house with your follow contestants with different characters, mindset, people you are meeting for the first time. I had to accommodate and start interacting with them as young people.
Neniibarini said further, “I was not expecting to emerge as the winner because it was a competition that all the contestants also wished to become the winner, and I was surprised when I was announced as the winner. I was so happy and overwhelmed with joy because it is a dream come through”.
“As a winner, I won N15m worth of deals and a car. One of the things that helped me to win was remaining focused, determination and hardwork not minding what other contestants would say about me. With this win I will do my best to impact on the society positively and also venture into the entertainment industry fully where I hope to improve my acting skills. I appreciate the organisers of Seduction Island TV Reality Show for the great job they have done by bringing contestants together from different background and for them to know their potentials and has made people standout. The experience I have gained here will help me to improve on my business skills as an entrepreneur”.
In addition, 1st Runner-Up, Adeseye Adenle, said, “I am from Ogun state, based in Lagos. I work in a media agency and saw the advert on social media and I sent in an entry. Few days later I was called that the organisers had chosen me to contest. I want to say, it was fun meeting other contestants from different parts of the country.
“While in the camp, the games were challenging and I was able to do all the tests to the best of my ability. This is not my first experience, this is the second time I have participated in a TV reality show.
From the angle of publicity which the show has given to me, I believe a lot of people will know more about me and I’m going to improve my brand”.
On the challenges he faced while in the house, Adenle said, “The challenge that I had in the house was getting my fans to vote for me all through the duration of the show and it was a rare privilege for people to vote for me. As a 2nd Runner-up, I had a mixed feeling because I always see myself as a winner, and I put in a lot of efforts to win because I always expect to be a winner. Though, I didn’t win today, I believe I will win someday”.
2nd Runner-Up, JohnBosco Chukwu is from Imo state but based in Lagos, in a media chat with journalists in Lagos said, “I came across the show on social media and I applied, and luckily I was chosen as one of the contestants.
I emerged as the second runner up and my experience in the house was tough. Different people from different background came to the house to be one body. In the house, we were meant to be one, and we were one in unity. I learnt a lot from different people during the show. We had a lot of tasks to perform and I was able to train myself to be able to do all the tasks we were given. We were 24 contestants in the house and one of the things that stood me out in the house was being myself. I brought out the best in me to showcase what I have in me and this made me to standout.
We were taught business ideas on how we can access funds from the government which we never knew before now. I work with a real estate company and also a skit maker. As a skit maker, we were given so many tasks in the house and I discovered something unique in me which I never knew before now”.
Speaking on the impact of the programme, the In House Director and Camp Commandant, Mr Cyril Jackson representative of the company said, “the management considers the prevalence of divorce and breakup rate in the country and they decided to find out the major causes of breakups in marriages. Some times, if you meet couples who are victims, each will tell you his or her own angle of the story and you would wonder what is the cause of these breakups. As a result of breakups increasing from time to time, our organization decided to bring different people from different backgrounds to come to an Island which depicts a serene environment and where loved ones bring their spouse for vacation and settlement.
“The idea is to build relationships and marriages together. Through the contestants on this Island, their fans and the world watching will learn one or two things how people can keep their relationship and marriages”.
