The inter-party advisory council, IPAC, Rivers state chapter said it can omly recognize the executive committee of Chief Emeka Beke of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state.

Speaking in an exclusive chat on Friday, the chairman of IPAC in Rivers state, Solsuema Ossro said as a law-abiding organization, the inter party council can only recognize the Beke Exco based on the judgment of the state High Court.

“That judgment of Justice Sika Aprioku came from a court of competent jurisdiction. If there is any contention in the party, they should return back to the court. They can appeal the judgment.

“We have already received Chief Emeka Beke into our fold. He is the one we recognized according to the ruling of the court. To us in IPAC, he is the one we know as the authentic chairman of APC in Rivers state”.

Ossro however advised the national leadership of thee APC to respect the judgment of the court, adding that as a ruling national party, “APC should rule by example. They should respect the constitution”.

The IPAC chairman who is also theRivers state chairman of the social democratic party, SDP, said no party is supreme to the Constitution of the country where the judiciary takes its power from.
