Stunning Nigerian-American songstress, Xenavonn has averred that beauty privilege allows certain doors to open.
In an interview with Potpourri, she said: “Humans are genetically wired to treat things we find attractive better. It’s only the truth that beauty privilege allows certain doors to open, but with those open doors come the negative assumptions on how you actually got there”.
On what inspired her song “Soft Life” she said: “I feel the soft life movement has been popularized within social media in the last 2 years or so. My music is for everyone, but I am a woman first we love to be cared for, pampered, & to enjoy the best life has to offer. Sometimes we just choose to experience those things at someone else’s financial expense”.
Asked how she manages the challenges and opportunities that come with being a female artist in the spotlight, she answered: “I wish I can say I had a book filled with a game plan with a play by play on how I navigate, but truthfully I take each day as it comes. I always believe that anything can be turned around and a no is only a “soft yes”.
